Mehndi and Mayun outfits in yellow, green, orange and bright festive colours, from Pakistani designers.
Colour and movement for the Mehndi
The Mehndi is the most colourful night of a Pakistani wedding, full of music, dancing and henna. The outfit should be just as lively and easy to move in. Yellow, mustard, green, orange and fuchsia are the classic colours, often mixed together in one piece, with gota, mirror work and bright thread.
Pick a shape you can dance in
A gharara or sharara is the traditional choice, and it swings beautifully when you dance. A lehenga also works well if it is not too heavy. Keep sleeves short or loose if you plan to have henna on your hands and arms.
For the bride and her family
Brides often wear the boldest colour of the night, while sisters and friends choose coordinating shades. The Mayun before it is usually simpler: a plain yellow outfit is the custom in many families, so check what yours prefers. Guests can also browse our party wear.

Frequently asked questions
What colour should I wear to a Mehndi?
Yellow, green, orange, mustard and fuchsia are the traditional colours. Mixing several in one outfit is very popular. Red is usually kept for the Barat.
What is the difference between Mehndi and Mayun?
The Mayun is an earlier, smaller event, when the bride traditionally starts wearing plain yellow. The Mehndi is the larger celebration with henna, music and dancing.
Is a gharara or a lehenga better for a Mehndi?
Both work. A gharara or sharara is traditional and comfortable for dancing. A lehenga has more volume, so choose a lighter one if you plan to be on your feet all night.
What should guests wear to a Mehndi?
Bright colours and light fabrics such as chiffon or organza. A formal suit or sharara set is ideal. You do not need to wear as much embroidery as the bride.
How long does delivery take?
Stitched outfits take 7 to 10 days within Pakistan and 3 to 4 weeks worldwide. Unstitched fabric takes 3 to 5 days in Pakistan and about 2 weeks worldwide.
